  • Finals!

I hope my mentees enjoyed the brownies and cookies i made.
THEY WERE OUT OF LOVEE <3 ahhaha.

My 2 finals today went relatively well, all I have left is my portfolio, project, and one more final.  Its the final stretch! Thennnn finally break :) a longgg, relaxing 5 week break.  I'm really looking forward to kicking back after a hard semester's work.  Seeing my friends and family again always But overall, I think I'm doing well this semester.  I've learned a lot since last year's encounters with tests.

And omgoodness. On a side note, i got a parking ticket -___-; At 11:37pm! Gross...reminder to my dear mentees: DON'T PARK IN INTRAMURAL PARKING! They catch you =P

    Just a few tips:
Sometimes you just need to sit back and relax before you study for your next final :)
I realize now that studying for hours on end tends to get your brain mushy, and makes you groggy.
So take plenty of breaks now and then so your brain can breathe a little!
    -eat healthy
    -fruits (oranges = natural energy)
I know sleep is scarce too, but sometimes energy drinks just make the situation worse.  Try to take a power nap (15 mins or so) instead (make sure you get a friend to wake you up too so you don't knock out for hours on end)

Best of luck for finals everyone!

  • Hey everyone!
The semester is almost over.  College goes my really fast, which means we all have to make the best of it while we can.  These our the best years of our life, and if we do half work, be dorm rats, and don't take care of ourselves, i feel that its a waste to be in college.  We are here to work hard, make friends, and learn responsibility.  This is the first year I've lived in a house alone, i feel more independent now because i also have a car.  Everything i do is for myself, not for my parents.  Our success is determined by our will to succeed and learn.  This year, especially I have proven that if you study hard, you can maintain good grades.  I aced a few midterms this semester, and I am pretty content with my work this semester.  However, my first Management upper division class is giving me a hard time.  It makes me question if I still want to be a Management major.  The Management field is extremely broad, and if i don't like a certain aspect of it, i don't think i should give up on the whole major.  This is why i'm still sticking with Management.  Finals are coming up around the corner, i'm nervous but oh so excited about break! :)

    Love,
    Kristin

  • Ride Back

I finally got my license!  Haha, although this isn't a big deal to those who already have their license, i'm really excited :) When i got home my brother pretty much bashed on me for getting it so late, but its better late than never!  The drive back was prettyyy crazy.  I've never driven alone on the freeway for 2 hours before, so it was definitely a change.  I had a good drive, and i'm beginning to get attatched to my car and driving in general.  Some people regard driving as a task, but i think its fun! ...Just as long as I have music with me :)

This was a really chill week.
I didn't have much homework, so i had a lot of time to get settled in.
Its time to get ready for another semester!  I hope everyone had a good break.

    Best wishes,
    Kristin
